June 2010 Financial Update
June was a wonderful month at Riverside Church. We began our new series, “Going All In – Because It Matters”, and we have been experiencing God’s goodness to us in a variety of ways. As our fiscal year has come to a close now, we rejoice in how the Lord has met all our needs this year. I am so excited to see our giving to the Great Commission Fund (GCF, C&MA missions) increase 24% this year, too!
Our new fiscal year begins July 1 and we have a newly approved budget challenge in front of us. We now are going to need to average $1,214, 550.00 each Sunday to meet this budget need. This will require greater levels of giving than ever before in our church’s history, but it is a budget level we reached a number of months this past year, so we know it can be done by His grace at work in us all.
It is always somewhat of an “uphill climb” to begin our new fiscal year July 1 in the middle of summer, but let me encourage you to stay connected (when you’re away for a weekend, watch the message online and perhaps use the online giving option, too). If you missed the June 27th message (“The State of Our Church Matters”), please take time to watch it online (or pick up a DVD…you will want to watch the closing celebration video!), as we took time to reflect on what God did these past 12 months and what He opportunities are before us in the next 12 months. - Sunday Attendance: 976
- General Fund: $22,352.04 (“Column A” weekly approved budget of $21,270.06 - including “Column B”, the weekly approved budget was $25,069.61).
- Our Time: $436.25 (total given since November, 2005: $1,438,880.50 by far the largest capital giving ever in our church’s history! We are still short $113,508.00 to meet our adjusted Faith Commitments of $1,552,389.00 that concluded November 2008. However, as we have done with other capital campaigns at Riverside, we are going to leave the Our Time line item open and if the Lord leads you to give to this fund, we will continue to use those monies to do further Our Time projects as funds allow).

May I make a one-time donation?
Yes, use the tool whenever, however, you'd like. It’s your decision.
How often do I have to make a recurring donation?
You select the start date and how often you want to give.
How will I know the transaction occurred?
You receive a confirmation number after the transaction occurs and an e-mail. If you signed up for a recurring donation, you will receive an e-mail before the transaction occurs. All donations will appear on your Contribution Statement, mailed out quarterly.
What if I change my mind?
You may cancel Online Giving at any time.
