Through the many years that I played organized sports, my goal was always to be a contributing member of the teams I played on. I was willing to work-out on my own, attend every practice, and develop whatever skills were necessary to insure that I would get to play as many minutes, innings, or quarters as possible in the real games. It was not my ambition to just sit on the sidelines and watch others participate.
     
The same should be true for us at Riverside Church when it comes to serving in various ministries here. Our goal is to be participants, not spectators in the stands watching others have the joy of serving. As you see all the various ways you can “get in the game” of ministry at Riverside, ask the Lord to open your heart to how He wants you to serve here. Whether you have been at Riverside for decades or for just a few weeks, God’s call to each of us is to be active in serving the Lord.  “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Ready to jump in the current at Riverside?  Here are some great places to get connected and make new friends!

Do you love to sing?  Have an instrument you like to play?  Love stage design, drama, or tech gadgets?  Check out the ways you can join our creative arts teams.

Is your favorite place outside or in the garden?  Do you love to paint?  Is your nickname "Handyman?"  Would you like to show your thanks to our great staff by subbing when we need a receptionist or lend a hand with adminstrative tasks?  You might love to help our Facilities or Office team.
